Story Behind This Painting: I believe this is a Dark Chinned hummingbird that was visiting my yard and gathering nectar from some of the Salvia plants. I enjoyed playing with the granulating pigments from Daniel Smith in the background. The contrast of the bright red Salvia and green hummingbird makes the scene pop!
