Description: Birds in water and glass will explore how to create two different types of reflective surfaces. During the workshop, the differences and similarities of painting water and glass will be discussed and shown. Lorraine will demonstrate how color theory can be used to create vibrant watercolor paintings. Participants will use watercolor techniques like layering, wet-on-wet, masking, lifting, and more to create a realistic likeness of the swan floating in the water and the glass bird still-life.
The fundamentals of watercolor and the application of design principles will be discussed and demonstrated so that each student will have the tools to complete their own successful painting.
Fees: $325 (members), $355 (non-members)
