Story Behind This Painting: The amazing orange rocks of Garden of the Gods have stood in front of Pikes Peak for 65 million years now. These two natural views are a part of colorful Colorado Springs, Colorado.  I have painted Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak many times and each time I do, I see new shapes and colors. In this painting, the orange of the Garden of the Gods rocks was really standing out and I liked the compliment of the soft wispy clouds with the soft rounded shapes of the rocks.
