Story Behind This Painting: I took the reference photo for these beautiful coral flamingos at a local zoo. The repetition of the bird’s heads and the light on their vibrant coral feathers intrigued me and I knew I would paint this scene. I enjoyed creating the soft focus feathers in the foreground to help pull the viewer into the scene and create more depth.
