Story Behind This Painting: I love hummingbirds and have photographed them many times either in my own yard or at various locations. I photographed this Rufous Hummingbird in my back yard sipping nectar from a Vermillionaire Cuphea plant. I liked the contrast of the blurry purple background flowers with the orange of the flowers and bird.
