Story Behind This Painting: While visiting the South Coast Botanic Garden in Palos Verdes, CA, I enjoyed photographing the many hummingbirds. These Allen’s hummingbirds were gathering the nectar from Cuphea plants. I titled the painting Magic Moment because in the next second, one of the hummingbirds would be chasing the other away from their bounty of blossoms.
